Funny Link.....

On a US yahoo group where I am a member, they posted a funny link today
This site is really nice! :-)
Put "Luxembourg" in the box that comes up, than by clicking on the sun it will put tiles with photos from Flickr all over the sun. Click on each pic to enlarge it.
or put "quilt" in the box that comes up...or...or...! :-)

Foto-Mosaik

The pic of my quilt "Schiessentümpel" is made from hundreds of photos on my PC.
I used the freeware program Foto-Mosaik, free download here

I asked myself if it would be possible to create a mosaic like this from a landscape photo and to make a quilt from this mosaic with all this little squares....perhaps I will give it a try...some day! :-)

Fused wine....

I'm still alone...without my Bernina...but I can fuse :-)
I only need my iron and my scissors or cutter....
A few days ago I showed you some pages in my scetchbook, this was one of the drawings....
I hope that I have enough hand-dyed fabric until my Bernie comes back to me! :-)
I'm really very thankfull to Melody Johnson for teaching me in St Moritz her way of fusing and quilting.
She also allowed us to copy her designs until we will have found our own way.....thank you Melody!

This and that......

For the moment I've nothing to show you :-(
My sewing machine is for two weeks out of the studio, she has to be repaired.
I'm missing my Bernina!!!
But so I have time to make other work. For the moment I'm working with my daughter on old furniture to restaure. Perhaps I will take some pics of this?? :-)

Also I changed my internet access from cable to DSL and that doesn't work properly for the moment.
May I ask you to have a little patience, things will come back to normal, I hope :-)

But I have something for you, a Link to a german site to make a little purse. The explanations are in German but she has so much pics on her site, I think you all will understand it.

Take care!

I show you today some pages of my sketchbook....
Most of the drawings are only on a piece of paper because normally when I have an idea I don't have my sketchbook by hand so I have little pieces of paper with drawings everywhere and when I have time I stick them into my book...
I really want to sew most of this scetches...hmmmm....

Interesting things like this christmas tree I saw in a magazine, I have to cut out and stick in my book..one never knows!

I also try quilting designs...this is the first attempt for the design Melody Johnson showed us in her workshop...here it is far away from perfect...but I'm trying hard, it's gonna be better ....
